They did come in burbans. My parts burban I got my 454 out of had a 14 bolt in it. As a matter of fact it is now under my truck, it was a 79. I've seen many burbs with 14 bolt FF's. Esteban86k5 on here just bought an 87 with one.
I have two suburbans that are parts rigs a 89 3/4 it has a ff14 in it and the 78 3/4 with 205 has 14 ff in it also and the 89 I know for a fact it is what come in it my dad never changed it. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif
To the best of my knowledge a 3/4 Ton GM Truck/Suburban from 1981 on up was available with the FF if the option code "C6P" was ordered. Before 1981 a FF came as standard equipment. This option also came with a beefier spring pack too.
I have seen post 1981 small block Sub's with FF's both 2WD & 4WD. Hope this helps . Tom
