'88 Blazer 2016 Changes. Not many....Yea.

:grin:That's kind of the inspiration. I was thinking traditional with my own intepretation of what I thought would look cool, too.

That is a sweet looking truck, chair lift makes it even cooler. Hand controls too. Very cool! :waytogo: I'd like some pics of the hand control for the throttle. :D

Here's another picture. You can see to rods run down to the gas and brake pedal. There's a handle to the left of the steering wheel that I push for brake and pull down towards my lap for gas. I haven't done it yet but you could still power brake with those controls:D

i want pics of the power braking... but with the door open showing the wheelchair and hand controls.... my ex-co-workers at the wheelchair shop would poop themselves :woot::waytogo::yikes:

I had trouble loading these but if you click them you should see a larger image.

that is so cool i kinda pee'd in my pants a little bit. Seriously, as a gearhead/engineer/custom designer, i am floored by how well thought out and executed that setup is. Its late i gotta get some sleep, but imma be pouring over those photos tomorrow.

Sweet Blazer man! I got to drive my buddies FX4 Ranger in college that had hand controls...it was fun as hell going muddin in that thing!

It's sunset pearl. I liked the orange on the Dodge sport pickup and the code is DV6. Thanks for the compliments. I was nervous about going orange but I'm pretty happy with it. It really looks different depending on the light - any where from bright orange to almost a dark red. Just don't tell anyone it's a Dodge color;) Worse than that I even found it in a Mitsubishi book:o

I have never seen a chair lift on the driverside before, that is just way too cool.

Since nobody else has commented on it yet i will, that s t r e t c h e d driver door looks awesome. :thumb:

When the guy built this he streched the door to fit the lift. I'm alot happier with how it looks topless:wink1: then it did before I cut the top off. I hated the ugly window, but on the other hand I'm not that big of guy and I barely fit on that lift.

I also can put the 75 hard top on still fit in the door without chopping it up at all. It just won't be air tight under the extended door area, but it should not be bad. The top will be black.

Let me know if you can't see the picture.. I'm still trying to figure these things out:confused:

I can see the pic. It looks like it was extended a good 6+ inches. Does the window still work (roll up and down)?

Does the window still work (roll up and down)?

The stock window still works. I just fit the 75' door pieces in so it still goes up and down. That little window on the extended area is gone and just capped to run smoothly into the bed rail. The door is extended about a foot. It looks like they just grafted on a foot off of another door and moved the door jam back a foot. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the comments.
