No leave on a 6 month deployment. And he is responsible for the money on the base 24/7. No down time.
Well spring time cruises in TN could be enjoyable.
He hopes to be back by Power Tour 2024. Starts in Bristol next year.

This is now my 2024 Power Tour ride. Just need to clean it a little and check the fluids. Make a small tool bag. Fill it with fuel and go. I have been getting 20mpg around town. It will be interesting to see what it gets on the open road.
After driving this thing yesterday. Sitting in the line to get into the car show going up hill, I was wondering if it was going to work. the 3 pedle thing is fun around town and on the road, but sitting and waiting sucks.
I sat in the driveway when I got home yesterday and took 20 minutes to get it to the shop. On the clutch, then in gear then out of gesr and sit a minute and repeat. The cramp in my left calf in bed last night answered the question of if I could do it.
So now we go here.

Rant on. I was trying to install the one new front caliper on the right side. Would not go on. Seems the rotor is too tight to the back side. I check the new to old for height, diameter and thickness. Measures the same. So why won't they go on? If you receive 2 boxes of Power Stop brake rotors...

We plan to leave on the 28th and head to Bowling Green Ky to get a picture in front of the factory and museum. Find some place to spend that night.
The only thing set in stone is a night in Cuba MO., At the Wagon Wheel Motel on the 29th. The crazy thing is, it is only 15 hours from there to his place. But because we are doing much of Route 66 as we can, we are going to take 4 days to do that 15 hour drive.

We drove part of Route 66 in Missouri when we went out for our daughter’s basic training graduation. Pretty cool to think about all the old cars that have driven that road.
