If I was a die hard Corvette enthusiast, I could have spent more time. It's not very big.

We stopped at the Mastodon State Historic Park because Wade thought it might be cool. Might have been. It would be good if the website said it is closed Monday and Tuesday.

So we continued on to Route 66 just west of St Louis. Should have ventured farther west first.
Cool old buildings and a lot of new stuff.
I fell asleep and woke up to this. For moment, I thought I had been drugged and exiled. Figured it was about time.
Nope. We landed at this motel.

We are done with local dive motels. At 300 miles in the heat, we needed to stop. Junior was tired of driving. Next real hotel was another 1.5 hours. So we stayed at the Western Motel. Historic does not mean good.

I did not sleep due to the truck traffic and the 12" change in terrain in the bed.

We were there last September to visit our daughter at Ft. Leonardwood, that place cracked me up.The Mini golf across the street is pretty funny also “Putt Pirates”.
