My interior lights are having trouble. When I turn them on my floor board light comes on but not my cab or cargo light. Also when I turn on my interior lights my cigarette lighter loses power. Any Ideas as to what it could be?:dunno:

If you are willing to study the diagrams, the link in my signature should get you to a wiring manual from GM. The aftermarket (Haynes/Chiltons, etc) are universally garbage when really needing to dig into the wiring of these trucks, the GM manual is the only way to go.

Without looking at it, I don't know how the cigarette lighter is tied into that circuit.

Thanks. The diagrams you have are so much better. I have been looking that this Chiltons for days and it is very lacking. I believe, from looking at the wiring, that it is a ground issue. Now I have to find the common ground behind the dash.

Pretty easy, although I don't have AC and the AC ducting usually makes things a lot worse.

It's up above the drivers kick panel. If you have AC, it's pretty much right behind and to the left of where the vent is IIRC. If you could stick your hand through that hole, I believe you can reach it.

I found It!!!! It took me a while to rip everything apart. When I got to it I found everything was fine. I was pretty p/o'd and hit the steering wheel and it mad a funny sound, kind of like a hand buzzer but didn't honk. I checked the horn fuse and it was blown. When I changed it the radio came on and the lights were fixed. I don't know how it works but its working now. Thank you for your help
