Ok, I've pretty much committed to buying a new truck so I thought I would give someone a chance to buy it before I trade it in. I told the dealer I wanted $6500 and they offered me $5800. If anyone here wants it for $5800..you get first dibs.
1989 V2500 3/4 ton burb w/barn doors. Has approx 92,000 miles on it (within 1000 or so without looking). Silverado package: Front buckets, power windows, locks, brakes, front & rear AC/heat. Tires are fairly new (5k miles?) Cooper 245/75/16 load range E. Motor was upgraded to a 96 350 Vortec with fuel injection, K&N air filter, Optima battery. TH400/NP241 w/new ujoints.
Has tow hitch, Prodigy brake controller, trans fluid cooler. Fresh oil and trans fluid/filter change. 2 tone grey-silver paint. I spent 2 solid days washing, buffing and waxing...VERY CLEAN. NO RUST! Driver side barn door has dent but I'm sure 90% of it can be popped back out. I just never took the panel off to try it. I believe the axles have 4:10 gears. Gets approx 15mpg and worst I got was 11-12 while towing

New Price $3800

This is a very nice rig, I drove it back to camp at ECBB and I could hardly tell the thing was running. Drives great and looks great too. GL selling Bryan :D

Whats on the horizon for a new tow rig???

Either way I go it's gonna be a Dodge 2500 or 3500 4x4 diesel. The dea;ership made me the offer yesterday. Fortunately for me I called my good friend and he told me not to buy it yet because he has a friend at a dealership and I should be able to get whatever I want at the dealer invoice cost :deal:
I'm just waiting to hear back from him. I'll have to go to Greenville, SC to get it but that's only an hour or so away. I will make the drive to get it and save several thousand $$$$ :D

MY TRUCK! :) Err... good luck selling Bryan. I sure wish I had the cash to buy her back right now. Too bad you're not getting rid of it later this year.

Best of luck,
-Dan

Shiat... I wish I had time to come up with the money..... Damnit.

I'm hoping my "Invoice" price doesn't go down the drain. The one salesman my friend knew no longer works there :ignore: :doah:
He said not to woory cause he also did business with the owner of the dealership, just waiting on a call back. I'm not selling to the original dealer just yet until all else has failed.

If you haven't drove a new dodge truck let me just say...."They are SWEET!!" :D

Yes they want to give me a good price on the trade in because they don't want to come off their sticker price.
I went to a different dealer today and I can get for their invoice price, I just need to sell the burb first because they won't give as much on the trade in....basically just enough to pay it off

I have a special price just for you... ;)

Pics of the engine bay and undercarriage, please. What axles are front and rear?

Brian, that truck looks familiar!

Oh yeah, its the one I sold to Dan!

Guess it's making it's rounds

And as of now it not for sale anymore. We are keeping the burb and the K5 and trailer are for sale. Getting out of the wheeling biz and concentrating on our house for a while

Yeah, I know. Life happens and getting my house the way I want it is the priority right now, not wheeling. It figures too...right after I get my K5 the way I wanted it :(

Oh well

New Price $5000

Decided to continue with my new Dodge purchase from a different dealer. Since I'm getting $8-9K below sticker price they don't want to bother with a trade in. Need to sell this within 1 month.
Will take partial trade for hunting rifle, possible more. Need $3k cash to pay off the loan

Money talks :D

You're killing me. Great truck, bad timing (for me anyway). This thing deserves to go BTT.
