89-91 quad beams!

Cool. I was looking for some headlight upgrades a couple of years ago for my 89, nothing was available then, I'll check this LMC out. Thanks.

might have to order them. I need to order some stuff from them anyways.

EDIT: already ordered.

ps. maybe i should actually look in the lmc catalog when it comes in instead of just leaving it on the table.

DAMN!!! You beat me to it. I just looked at that last night and I am going to order it this week. I am also thinking about ordering a second whole kit and then removing the turnsignals and putting them into the bumper or something.

That would be AWESOME!!!

EDIT: Hey, does anyone see where it says what bulbs will go in those housing? Cause I want to put the highest quality bulbs I can get, like SilverStars or something but I need to know what bulb number... 9006??? or what???

EDIT AGAIN: It appears that if I were to go with the 8 headlight setup... I could then mount an 81-82 front bumper that would have the turn signals in the bumper. Hmmmm, this may just be the way to go.

EDIT ONE MORE TIME: And here it is... I think this is what I want the front of my truck to look like.

Oddly enough I think I like that. Now you need to wire-up the the low beams to come on with the high beams. Although I do think blazing down the highway with all 8 lights lit will piss off a few people.

Yeah, I think that getting the high and low to both be on while on high would be a matter of some wiring, I think doable.

As for the second set of lights... I was perhaps thinking about making them ALL high beams and putting them on switches and focusing them in the dead zones that the other lights do not reach.

Now this is an idea I picked up off a ferd... This guy installed an extra floor light switch to turn his offroad lights on. I was thinking of putting two floor switches in and making them operate the second set of headlights. I also think that there would need to be some kind of dummy light on the dash to warn me that I have those extra lights on.

So the spontaneously combusting flora and fauna in front of you wouldn't suffice?

:haha::haha::haha::haha:

I took a ride in my buddies 2002 Tracker the other day and I was amazed at how much better his lights were than mine. I have decided that if I upgrade my lighting... It is going to be BRIGHT.

I have been messing with headlight options on this truck since I purchased it a year ago and now that LMC has answered my prayers... I am going to Nth degree overboard to illuminate the road in front of me.

I want to peal the paint off the trunk lid of the Hondas in front of me!!!

i think its hideous. the 81-82 Silverado grille is by far the best 81-87 grille out there, a close match with the 88+ Burb/Blazer grilles. but the mix of the newer grille with the 81-82 bumper is disgusting.

Wow... Disgusting... That seems a little harsh, but I will take it under advisement.

Just for the heck of it. Do you hate the 8 headlights as well? And if you don't, where do you think the blinkers should be located?

uh... yeah, i hate the 8 lights. isnt that what the whole thread is about?

i think the blinkers should be left where they were from the factory on the newer grilles. only thing that looks good with them in the bumper is the 81-82 stacked quad headlight setup.

Ok, well I was being civil, so your little rolly eyes can kiss my ass.

In your post you only mentioned your distinct dislike for the grill and bumper combo so I was just looking for a little clarification. And I guess in a round about way you gave me that. So thanks.

do you think the harness will work in a 87?
Ya know, I don't think it will be a direct plug in. I think that if you were thinking of converting to the 89-91 front clip and installing this conversion you would need to do a little splicing at the firewall to get the wires from the headlight switch to do the right thing under the hood. But I really don't think it would be terribly hard. I will look at the wiring harness on my buddies 88 and see how much different it is from my 89.
