89 Jimmy reverse light/neutral safety switch

First off,
I have no reverse lights. So I have been scanning the threads for an explanation and it seems on some of the older models the reverse/ Neutral switch is mounted on top of the column under the dash. Mine is not located there does someone know if they changed the design on later models? Every thread I read describe some half-moon shaped white plastic switch which Im not seeing at all.

Automatic or Manual? Depending on your tranny it may not be moon shaped.

I have an auto, and the neutral safety switch was on the top side of the column under the edge of the dash.

Sorry its an auto. I read that thread already and I do not have any switch located on top of my column besides the ignition switch. Nothing in the pictures looks even slightly familiar, did they hide it somewhere else in later years?

Ok figured it out. Someone had removed the old switch completely and stuffed the wires way up into the dash. I found the spot on the column where it should go but like I said there's nothing there. Time to hit up LMC I guess....
