Steering Brace and Stuff

Installed a few item while I was gone from the site:

ORD Steering Brace:D

Old a$$ VDO Tach, which promptly fried itself and my Ignition Control Module:eek1:

Head light relay, still not tested at night while driving:doah:

New windows in the hard top to replace the busted ones the tree's and ground like to break for me, eventually I'll get a soft top and be done with that hassle:whistle:

Have some more stuff in the works, like get a new tach, install the 52's up front that I've had laying around for months, front shackle frame eye hangers from DIY4X that have been sitting for a year or so when I do the 52's , subs and amp that have been sitting around for 10+ months , mount my CO2 bottle er...mount that's been sitting here for several months , install the carpet, the power steering cooler that has been sitting here for 5 months , and some other stuff I don't remember. :dunno:

I live in an apartment, so major work is not acceptable here, I have to go to my buddies house an hour away to do the bigger stuff.

It's been retarded hot out here for a long time now, but hopefully I can get this stuff and some other stuff knocked out before September.

I may or may not take pictures for ya

Does anyone know the bushing sizes for a set of 52" springs? I won't be stripping the hangers and shackles for a week or two and I wanted to get them in the mail.

call ORD, you'd be surprised the size changes from year to year. My 56's weren't size A or B, but ended up being size C metric. Damn u GM

best thing to do is give him the year and if you have some calipers, measure them to make sure their the same size front and rear etc

Anyone got any 1.5" bushings laying around they wanna sell me for cheap? I need enough to do 1 pair of springs.

Did you call ORD yet? They should have what you need. Get their greasable bushings too. They made a big difference on my springs as far as ride quality and elimination of squeaky sounds (I hate squeaky sounds!).

No, not yet. I was trying not to spend $90 on bushings and bolts. I can get everything from DIY4X for like $55.

Yay! Gonna instal it tomorrow before work if I get up at a decent time.

Install was easy! Now this thing fires off like a maniac, can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. Truck definitely runs better.

Getting new exhaust put on since I ripped out the old stuff on a rock while wheeling about 6 months ago

Lol. New exhaust is very nice, not brain numbingly loud anymore. Low end torque has been restored and it's quiet!!! No fancy pics, sorry.
