Oh this winter is the real build :wink1: Stay Tuned.

in tow lol, i guess thoese lights are still not working, sure did not take you long to replace that 93

Nice lookin project you got there! You gonna keep the TBI or throw a carb on it? Those front tires look kinda bald, time to pull out the groover!!

I think they are to far gone for the groover. I am gonna kepe the Tbi , and it is setup to run a 305 so it should do. It will be getting some pep later this year.
I think I am gonna get a set of High tec Retread's just to last till the winter.
Can't beat 80 a tire for a 33.

Oh and I gotta say, for a town as small as frankfort, you have got some damn big houses!

Last year I had a tire blowout on the way to my buddy's school in carbondale, and decided to turn around instead of driving the rest of the way on the mini spare. Well on the way back I passed through frankfort and I started driving through the subdivisions looking for your big white K-10.

Never did find it though :(

I work 9-6 So I should have to time this week too.But just thought I would post an update.

Hopefully badland's here I come sat morn.

Damn if that S10 doesn't look familiar. If I didn't know where the one I'm thinking of is I'd say that thing came from up here.:tongue1:

Word of advice but stay away from HiTec. I had a bad experience with them and won't do business with them again. Mostly customer service related but also some tire issues that shouldn't have happened and they never seemed to want to deal with other than offer me a "pseudo-replacement."
If I had to do it all over again I'd have just checked Ebay. I got a brand new set of Kuhmo MT's in the same size from a place in NC shipped and delivered for about what those POS HT's cost me. 7 months and no trouble...the HT's gave us trouble in less than 3 days and 400 miles.
Either that or check the local paper, craigslist, bulletin board at the offroad store, etc. There was a set of 33" LTB's with near new tread sitting in a guy's yard for $350 a few months ago. Figures they wouldn't fit anything I own...

Okay, here's my official write up for when people ask that question:
I had a set of High Tec's OTR Muds on my wife's 03 Grand Vitara. They had the green diamonds for increased winter traction. We liked their performance...aside from the fact that they were as loud as Boggers on the road...but hated the customer service and problems we had with the tires. First it took over a month to get our tires. Then after we finally got them one fell apart after less than 400 miles. After more stupidity and BS they sent me a new replacement tire pretty fast. Fast forward most of a year and I realize two of the four road tires have portions where the tread seems to be loose of the sidewall. It took two emails and a phone call before I got a response and was then told to call back in a few weeks. A few weeks later I called again and was told they wouldn't be making our size in the MT anymore so I was SOL unless I wanted the AT pattern.
Considering the crappy service thus far I told the guy off and hung up.

About 2 weeks later my wife was involved in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. I didn't bother getting the tires off of it.

I found a deal on some new Kumho MT's on Ebay for even less than the HighTec's cost me a year before and siped them myself. I'm aware of their shortcomings but so far they're doing great under the wife's DD.

From these experiences I recommend people to avoid HighTec. If I could do it over again I'd have bought new tires somewhere else, even paying retail locally.
Just for the record I know a guy who bought a set at the same time I did and had similar issues. Took forever to get to him, then one fell apart real quick, they replaced it (you pay for mounting and balancing, etc), then later another fell apart, they replaced it, and last I knew that was the end of his troubles. He, like us, said they were noisey and rode good on the road...but the customer service was horrible and the quality left something to be desired.
His was under a Geo Tracker so it's even lighter than our Suzuki Grand Vitara was.

Once you factor in their shipping costs and mounting and balancing their tires aren't all that great of a deal. Especially if you're looking for 33's.

Well 305 is out It was a bear but it is out.

I couldn't find a wrench to fit the motor mount bolt's so that was a pain. 11/16 on one side 16mm on the other.
I started to remove anything that wasn't needed/wanted on the 350 , then finished yanking the 305. Wow I tell ya if you ever get an s10 with a V8 then you will see how tight they are. I had an about 1/4 of an inch with the motor coming out. Had to even wiggle the thing to get it out .

Look's Like I am gonna need a water pump , and Motor mount's. The one mount I couldn't get off so I started to come up on it and it tore. So I guess it was shot. Also need some hardware to fix what would be exaust leak's.

I will have picture's shortely.
