89 Suburban DD Build (finally a 3/4ton)

Keep at it! I enjoy seeing your progress . It's a shame this isn't evo2 or our trucks would have been done in 3.nights haha.

10 bolt rear is out and the 3/4ton rear springs are in. Really so limited on time right now it's frustrating I get let bit done here and there.

Been working on it all day. Currently stuck on getting the ord shackle bushings in on one side. The other just slide in.

Hoverburb!

Do you have a bench vise? That made installing the bushings much easier on mine.

I figured it out late last night. Had the bushings for the shackle side of the spring and frame shackle bushings backwards. Got the other spring in and slid the front end under then called it a night.

It is weird to look that those pics on my thread cause I've planned to do this for so long and seen so many pics of other people's swaps it's kinda crazy. Gotta get on the job and get some wheels now.

I got the front end in last night. Lots of little stuff left to do. Definitely getting excited now to drive it. Really liking how it looks off the ground...

I thinking I'm gonna be photo whoring this thing for a while now [emoji12]

Thanks just don't look at the passenger rear quarter. Wheels and tires bought. Should be here no later than Monday and hopefully before this weekend.
So I hope to have it on the road early next week

Talked to discount Thursday and they said no wheels yet and no shipments on Friday so probably Tuesday or wednesday. It's killing me now waiting to what it will look like with the lift and new tires. I have an idea on height with how I have it on jackstands but it's not the same.

Pouring down rain here now so waiting for a let up so I can do the rear brake line and shocks.

Went and picked up a u joint for the rearend and not sure how you get these suckers out. Don't see any clips on the inside

They are epoxied in. He them with a torch till the epoxy oozes out, then drive the yoke out with your favorite BFH.

Nice rig by the way!!

What the tree trimmer said, heat it with a torch and a little snake will appear, then go to town with a hammer before it cools.

i haven't gottan the old u joint out yet, need to take the driveline to my dads shop to use his torch. Does anyone know the napa part number for the conversion joint I need? I picked up a PN 447 but not completely sure its the right one.
