89 Suburban is gone....added a K5 in it's place..87 V30 WONTON

We do almost all of the promotional stuff for the promoter, basically everything that the sponsors don't provide. During race weekend it's racecar retrieval and my wife is in the scoring/timing trailer at the finish line.

Course markings and signs. Decals, trophies etc.

XL foam checks lol. Blazer full of a UTV that yard sale'd in front of me. I'm like the kid that picks up RC cars at the track just a full size version hahaha.

One year I made phony bonus checks for the employees like that. Just before I handed them out, I told them they were about to get HUGE bonus checks. Everyone got a kick out of that. They did get cash bonuses; I'm not a big enough jerk to only give them fake checks.

Hahhaa! I'm going to have to do this, my wife might stab me though lol.

It was fun getting to tell everyone they were getting a huge check. But they also know me well enough to know it was some sort of joke, they just didn't expect the "punch line". I try to do something tricky every year for bonuses. Last year we froze cash in big glass mugs so they had to thaw them out before getting their money, but they could see it. :haha:

The camo wrap is finally going down. I went with an urban camo pattern in shades of grey. It looks super cool in person imho. Install will be finished on Monday when I have time.

Got the tow rig leveled out and on some used 315/70/17 Bridgestone tires. 2" Pro Comp springs and a 2" billet block kit in the back.

The Hummer wheels listed in the classified section if anyone is looking. Open to offers.

Here's a few shots from our adventure my wife and I took with @Fastereddie and his brother. We will plan the next trip in warmer weather though...

I included a couple shots of our short bed camper in a long bed truck. When surfing the web I couldn't find much for pics or info on running a camper setup like this. For what it's worth it works out okay and drives straight. I need to shim the sides so the camper doesn't slide around as much, outside of that it works.

@jkroberts Do you have the hook up on Bilstein rebuild kits? I have 2 16" and 2 14" shocks to go through and possibly one needs a shaft.

Not truck related but building big ass banners for the new race series (table is 6' wide for reference). Super thankful we're still banging away while others are shutting down. Hopefully this COVID deal clears up soon. I'd like break bread with friends without all the restrictions.

@Fastereddie you and your brother want to go to Legacy's first race to run a check with me and run the Blazers around? Looks like a cool check and a little camping. I'm bringing the camper, wood and steak. :woot: 108 miles North from the shop.

The weekend of the 9th? Sounds good

I have a JB Fab NP205 twin stick (new) to list along with a set of new ORD Front axle brackets (link kit) for a Dana 60. If anyone is interested I'll put up a couple ads in the for sale section.

Took the 77 out to do race recovery at Legacy Racing Association's Inaugural Event in Pahrump, NV. The race series was started by past employees of Best In The Desert and it was a successful event. We had a booth setup during registration to sell event shirts and other products. This was our first real attempt at on site retail sales (usually we are B2B). We learned a few things for next time and had a blast while selling stuff.

I went straight from Friday night registration to the desert, where it was cold and windy. Too tired to setup camp so I passed out in the front seat with the space heater keeping me from freezing. Most of the race was uneventful except for 1 rollover and one parts delivery radio call. The Blazer did good and was a blast to slam through the silt. The head of the safety crew gave me a Tactical Recovery Equipment tow strap kit. They're a local company that sponsors the races with badass ropes and assorted gear. I have to say I will probably never use old school straps for retrieval duty again. This might sound like a plug for TRE but I'm super impressed with the ropes and soft shackles! When towing the car pictured it only had 3 wheels left attached. The TRE rope absorbed most of the jerking you get with standard straps which surprised me. This was my first time using this setup and with the Parker 425 this weekend I'm sure it will be used again (multiple times)

Hopefully can get time for the rear springs and shocks soon, then add some cage tubes, seats and harnesses along with tie in to the frame.

Here's a pic dump from the weekend. I ran out of batteries and no way to charge my phone so not many action pics. Maybe next weekend.
