Are The Printed Cluster Circuit Boards Interchangable From 90 To 91? I Know The 91 Came As A Complete Cluster, But I Just Need The Circuit Board. If Not, Any Suggestions?
according to lmc truck's catalog you can get circuit boards up to 1990 but not for 91. but i heard that the only reason that you can not buy circuit boards for a 91 is that gm started subleting their clusters to SPECMO. since the 91 and 91 trucks are virtualy identical, i was wondering if the cluster was the same too. to send it to SPECMO for repair would cost me $250. but all i need is the circuit board and don't want to spend that much if i dont have to.
I can't see how it would be different....the housing would have to be different, all the gauge connectors, the instrument panel connector, etc. I just don't see GM doing that. They could have of course, and I'd hate to spend good money to find out they did in fact change somehow.
You should be able to find a good spare on here, the '90's stuff I've had apart has been in excellent shape.
