Sn95.0 submitted a new Build:

'90 F250

I know it this isnt a Chevy but I'm friends with the Nebraska guys on here and our local forum sucks now so they talked me into making this here.
I bought the truck from John '80 427 on here about 5 years ago. It's a 351 with zf5 5 speed with 4.10 gears.

Used it as a truck and then put some hummer tires on it and tried to mess around with the Chevy boys.

Took it to the river, got stuck. Marty was kind enough to turn around and pull me out.

Bought a power stroke last year and kept this truck as a beater. Always wanted to put a 60 under it but never could find one for the right price. Then decided it was a pos and I wanted a bronco on tons. Randomly found a f350 parts truck for stupid cheap, bought it no questions asked and drug it home. Got lucky and it was a factory 4.10 geared open axle truck.

After going back and forth a bunch I decided I didn't need another vehicle sitting around so the 90 3/4 was getting a 60 swap, lift and lockers.

I wanted to put the least amount of money possible into it and still be able to drive or pull with it if I needed to. Bought a 4" lift, lockrights and another set of 37"s.

Barely fits between the fenders on my works trailers so I now need to get the gooseneck ready for tuttle trips.

Still need longer break lines and figure out why the front driveshaft hits the trans cross member. Also get the new 37s mounted on some steel wheels.

And add another one to the list.

You guys are starting to rep Neb. better than the Mich. boys rep themselves!

I like this old Ford. We should have a decent group of people when we all finally have our trucks ready.

Never had a brick-nose, But we've had more than a couple 92-96 trucks. Most recently a 95 Half ton 4wd with a 300-6 and an automatic, rust free truck that we sold with 360,000 miles on it, ran like a brand new truck.

A few weeks ago I sold my 94 7.3 factory turbo IDI 3/4 ton 4wd, sold that one with 210,000 miles on it. I don't know how, but I got 20 MPG out of that truck once, with 4.10 gears.

Nice to see I'm not the only guy wheeling a Ferd on here! They're really cheap in my neck of the woods so I SAS'ed an F150 shortbox and beat the poor thing a lot.

Took it down to Tuttle for its first time. I think it did fairly good for cheapo lift I have. Did basically everything that all the other trucks in our group did. I need to air the tires down more next time and look in to a shackle flip for the rear.

I will take the track bar off the front next time also, might help in the front.

Poor Paul kept getting asked by assholes if his uncle Rick had a nice cabin. I really should quit that. But really it did great and with some polishing it could be a good Wheeler.

Figure anything out with the rear suspension yet?

Find a matching set of rear 16.5" wheels for your fronts?

Martin

Haven't touched it since we got back. I was kind of looking at those swampers you commented on that Facebook group yesterday. I looked at shackle flip kits but haven't bought one yet.

Seen the pics of it from all you guys on here and F/B...I like it!

Looks good with the steel wheels! :waytogo:
