90 K5 with injection issues...

Taking my gas cap off helped with the fuel flow out of my disconnected filter. (Of course, I don't have a stock setup.)

Now that I think about it, the pump probably serves as a pretty good restriction, which is why it came out fairly slow, but was constant for hours.

Yeah, well... I took the old filter loose and found that while the filter would thread on to the flared fittings but that's not how they seal. There is a o-ring seal on the filter fittings, so I think I'm gonna take a filter, drill a hole in it and put a pressure fitting on that so I can test the pressure... man, this truck is pissing me off! I was considering trying to flare the steel line, but think that the fitting on the filter is a quicker solution.

Yes, those Saginaw fittings are a bear. Imagine trying to get non-factory lines to work at the sender, fuel filter, and TBI unit! :)

You can get a TBI pressure test kit. This is what i have: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CP78...Z200236184815QQptZMotorsQ5fAutomotiveQ5fTools
It comes with a fitting that fits between the fule line and fuel filter.

Or you can get an adapter fitting with a schrader valve fitting that fits any standard fuel pressure test guage. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-T...62QQcategoryZ33555QQihZ024QQitemZ370063785612

Also thought of one more easy thing to try. Unplug the electrical connection from the MAP sensor start your truck and see if that helps. Post up results.

I looked at those, but I've already got a fuel pressure test setup, just need a port to test!

I'll unplug the MAP electrical plug and report back....
Thanks,
C
