I thought maybe good ol' "W" had hijacked your thread for a minute there. I bet that rice burner went off like a "nucular" bomb when that head gasket went too.
Actually it probably just stopped running but you get the picture.
A couple buddies and myself took a few days for little mountain excursion/camping trip

My well thought out cook station, the BL box was my block for the wind, it worked well actually

Time to go home, last year that tree covered our road in and we had to relieve it of a piece. Good thing my buddies green/tan chevy has a Cummins/Tons he pulled it out no problem
Good times. Man that's a huge tree that fell. Good reason to carry a chainsaw with you when you're out in the woods like that. I wonder how many other guys got up to that log and just had to turn around. Sub is looking good too. My question is, did you sleep in the back, because there would be enough room I would think.
Finally got around to putting my Airaid spacer on that I've had for almost two years, haha. It was actually more of a PITA then I thought it would be, mainly the nut for the fuel line clamp that is strategically placed in the tightest spot on the back side of the engine. Anyways its done and I took it for a spin in the neighborhood and a definite increase in the much needed HP department is noticeable. I also finally wired the lights on my bumper as running lights, sorry no pics of that atm.
I've always wondered if those spacers really did anything. I know they're real popular with Jeep owners for their 4.0 inline sixes. Good to hear some positive results on a good ol' V8.
Nice scenery too. I like to see a beach or lake shore with no crowds around.
I also found some time to reinstall my tow hooks on the front. The way the bumper brackets fit with the cross braces I had to make up some 1" spacers to get the hooks to work. Hopefully they're sturdy enough or I'll have to put some shackle mounts on the bumper.
