'91 CC original bumper

Thanks for the help guys I got the k5 bumper on this weekend, I'll post some pics when it quits raining.

Quits raining...you puss.:D
We're sittin' here waiting on the tornadoes right now.:eek1: And on the 42nd anniversary of one of the most devastating tornadoes of all time. Or so the germans would have us believe.:haha:

Sorry for the delay. I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks Jimbo!

Much, much better looking bumper there.

Yeah yeah. I'm sure you are just "keeping them for a friend" whose parents aren't cool.:D

No explanations necessary. Just razzin ya. I drove a F250 for a few years :o because I had it and dare I say it was a decent truck:eek1:. Until the temps got below 50ish and then it didn't like to start. Bad glow plugs - stupid diesel! Of course the diesel was partly why I bought it.:wink1:

NO I own them. The Bronco is my wifes life long dream truck that I need to finish restoring. I have already re-built the d-train. It is running a 5.0 H.O. engine w/ EFI now.

I bought the black crap box for a song & a dance thinking I could make a couple dollars on it. It just will not freaking sale.

anybody wana give me their super clean k30? ill take real good care of it i promise!:haha:

And a sway bar. :D

I need a sway bar, some original floor mats, a factory tach, & some outer bumper brackets for the frt bumper. I am going to skip the lift & welds for now. It is taking a lot to resist the lift bug.

You can't have mine.:D

Come on Boz! I doubt you will even notice any difference with 4 in. springs under it.

Dang, I thought for sure you had those front bumper brackets by now.

The problem with an OE tach is the electric speedo, I believe it makes the cluster "bracket" fairly different. I was going to try and combine my tach with the electric speedo but I think I'm going to ditch the 91 speedo for the sake of simplicity. I just have to find out if it's possible to do tbi with a speedo signal.

[littledevilvoice]2.5 lift... 33's... do it!! DO IT!!!!! [/littledevilvoice]

I have been too lazy to go junkyarding to get some(bumper brackets)

I bought a older tach cluster & looked at putting the tach into mine, & there is no way you could do it without cutting the electric speedo cluster up. I didn't want to cut my cluster so I sold the tach cluster I had.

Did chevy not make a electric speedo factory tach cluster? I know it would be rare if they did, but I considor my truck to fairly rare & I think it would be worth paying a high price to have one.

The front springs are negative arched 3" it deffently needs some front springs. When I do lift it I will prolly go with the 1-ton rated 2.5" lift springs. I use it as my tow rig & I plan on buying a 24' gooseneck soon, so I don't want it too tall. Who makes those 1-ton rated lift springs?

The newest I have ever seen / read about having an OE tach was 82. There's a lot of speculation that the option was available later than that but I've never seen it proven. Since the electric speedo started in 90 I doubt a tach set up was ever built. If you want one to cut up I may not use my original 91 cluster from my K5.

I don't know of any company making "off the shelf" 1 ton lift springs for the front. I used Rough Country because they had the highest spring rate, thinking that might keep them from sagging under the CC weight (of course, they rode real stiff). I called Deaver Spring about building some for the rear and they quoted something around $650 for the pair, I just never nutted up and bought them.

I saw a post were That K30 Guy, & Rfguitar was saying some company offer a true 1-ton lift spring, but it only came in a 2.5" lift. I'll search for it.

If you decide not to use your speedo let me know, if you do it is no biggee.

I've got an 86 K30 with factory tach, but have never seen one in a later model. Might buy the whole truck just for the correct harness and stuff.
Jimbo

p.s. Boz, the truck looks great!
