My '91 CC got rear-endded last week. It got the tailgate & bumper. It has a chrome step bumper on the rear, that I don't believe is original. I was wondering if anyone here has a pic of what the original bumper is supposed to look like.

Also I am considering putting a blazer bumper on the rear. anyone have a pick of a truck with one of those.

What do y'all prefer. Step bumper, stock bumper, or blazer bumper.

Here is a pic of the rig before it got hit.

Any pics of the damage? I've seen a crewcab dually w/ the blazer bumper near work if I can find it I'll snap a pic for you.

blazer bumper

Here is a pic of my truck with the blazer style bumper. They out brackets are the same blazer/suburban/truck with this style bumper. You will need the inner brackets that are truck only to complete this. Also the truck bumpers have a separate filler plate on each side unlike the blazer/suburban which has a one piece.

Go with the Blazer bumper if you don't need the step. Remember, form follows function. I will see what I can find for the options. The bumper youhad is def. aftermarket though.:wink1:

Yah, I thought it was. I am still wondering what is supposed to be on it. The truck is completely stock except for the wheels/tires. I can't decide if I want to go that route or not.

I am strongly leaning towards the blazer bumper. I don't need the step bumper. I don't put anything heavy in the bed, that is what trailors are for.

Here is a pic of ARAMP's. I think it is original. It looks it as best I can tell.

I agree. I have this exact same bumper on my '85 K30 and like it better than other replacement bumpers. It flows the body lines better and matches the front bumper also.

Boz, definitely go with the Blazer bumper. :thumb:

86454K30, very nice truck. :pimp:

I've got a very mint Blazer bumper, I need to get rid of. I can get pics tonight if you're interested.

What is that the cc 12' bed. Damn that thing looks way longer than 8ft. Awesome. Maybe I'm just getting real used to seeing the newer cc shortbox.

Oh I know. It would take me a 40 acre field to turn mine around in, but that was bacause it had a Detroit.:D

Boz, if you decide to go with the Blazer/Burb rear bumper, I've got a set of the factory pickup frame extensions/adapters I would part with.

Thanks guys I have decided to go with the blazer bumper for sure. I'll post some pics when it comes home from the body shop.

Some of you got pm's about some parts.
