I have been looking for a 91 crew cab without any luck. So I am planning on building one. Dooes anyone know if a 91 Suburban frame is the same as a crew cab?

ya, the burb has the same wheelbase of a standard cab long bed truck, and the crew cab is a lot more. burbs up to '87 were 129.5" and '88-'91 were 131.5"

total length?? or wheel base??

I can go measure real quick but I'm sure the info is on here somewhere if you use the search button

I want to do a crew cab w/short box. Would a suburban frame or a truck frame be better?

Truck frame shortened if you want to run a normal 6.5 box

If you want an "ultra short bed" then use a Sub' frame

Theres a crew cab on a sub frame on this board look at the K30 thread

I want to run a 6.5 bed. If I got a 8ft truck frame I guess I would have to exted it, right?

your best bet would be to find a regular crew cab and cut it down
its easier to shorten then it is to extend

yea, that is what I was thinking. It has been hard to find a 91 crew cab that is not a dually.

it shouldn't matter really your gonna change beds out anyways and front hubs are cheap now

OK, now another question. Is there a difference in the frame from a dually and reg axles crew cab?

ebay, I got mine awhile back for 250.00 each with new rotors and races and studs
