I like the looks of that style front. Wanted to get an older Gm just to put that front end on it. Looks good!!

i got all the stuff for the swap from a buddy for $20 so i had to do it :) i bought all new lights obviously, and the bezels are pretty beat up, same with the grill but from 15feet away you cant tell

that's a good steal hell you can sell your stuff for 4 times that:bow:

Looks damn fine, bro.... Next time I'm in town, I've gotta swing by again - hahaha, last time I saw that truck, it wasn't looking too good at all!:wink1:

good job....

Most seem to like that nose.... Honestly I actually think the old nose was better looking, but I'm sure the new setup is more functional... Hope you don't take that the wrong way, it's just my personal opinion on the headlight setup.... And I'm certainly in the minority on that I assume, I just prefer the other look..

i understand ryoken, no hurt feelings.

big94, man i know, the progress has really changed haha. its actually alive now. last time you came by it was a mess. im happy with the progress thus far.

I just noticed different meats on the second shot.. What did you switch to?

ended up goin with 39.5 iroks. they arent balanced, but i got the truck up to 80mph (vehicle side by side to verify) and they are still fairly smooth, i dont plan to go that fast for periods of time, so i dont think im going to balance them unless something changes.

I'm glad you decided on the swap. that truck is looking better and better everytime you post a pic.. VERY nice rig bro

I like both looks and would change to eather one on my '74 unless I do a restoration to it....

between the 2 I think your truck shrunk.... oh sorry that is the pic sizes :haha:

anyhow.. it is ok... but i love the quad big headlights in the first one... I did the 1987 swap on my truck and love it...

All you needed was the grill, lights, and bezels right? Did you have to change the core support for the lights to fit? I want to do this to my '86 crew cab but I dont want to have to deal with the core support.

much less functional. They melt plugs like crazy. Guess they do look nice though, I like it better at least. The round 73-80 are pretty cool too though.
