91 k5 build advice

ARB is hard to beat. E lockers are nice if you don't want to run the plumbing for it. I sell a lot of ARB lockers and I have never had one come back with an issue.

I ran a rear 14FF with the typical and easy "shaved lip" and 35's for several years and it was a decent setup. Previously ran the rear 10-bolt with the same tires and didn't notice any huge difference in clearance, but it was nice having the piece of mind. Ran the 10-bolt front with a limited slip on 35's for years also with no issues after learning how to drive and not get in a situation where you could break it. Another option would be a 14-bolf semi-float 9.5" rear axle. These were really common in the 3/4 ton pickups through the '80's. Same style as the 10-bolt but much beefier. If money was an issue I would always get a beefy rear axle and leave the front stock....most breakage of a front axle will not completely disable a vehicle, just put it in 2wd and go. The rear axle can be a different story as you can't easily shift the t-case to 2wd and unlock the hubs. Especially a semi-float rear axle is you break a rear axle shaft you are in bad shape.

When you say 10bolt front your referencing the 3/4ton 8lug correct? That with the 10bolt rear proved to be a solid pair?
