Ahh gotcha. Just don’t leave any dead nodes..lol. I’m starting from scratch so I’ll pribably use 8-10 sticks. Any tips on the full vert swap?

Only to measure 100 times! Using some small tubing as dowels to put the new upper frame on the windshield posts helped a ton. I want to put a windshield in it soon to verify the frame is put together correctly.
How and where do you plan to tie the cage to the body? Since I'm using later Silverado seats the 2 threaded holes in the B pillar are unused now so I'll be bolting cage tabs to them and maybe add a 3rd up close to the top. For the A pillar I'm still staring and thinking. I think once the cage is in I'm going to look at running a brace to either the bolt for the side of the dash or to the firewall. I still have an OE dash so getting in up high to weld ties in may be a pita. The cowl below the dash doesn't seem high enough to work good as a brace and the windshield post isn't strong enough to do the job by itself.
Slipping, sliding and tire smoking is fun but I've never been a fan of going really fast (like desert racing) in a big truck, I'm always expecting the DW to kick in and the truck look like the tumbling capsule intro to the Six Million Dollar Man. LOL

I laughed way to hard at that.
Somebody said dimples...![]()
Yeah, planning on 3 sticks. I’ve got a Diy4x kit so I’ll just be adding (wait for it...) triangulation. Hopefully, there will be some leftovers for a traction bar set up.
usually you want thicker and smaller diameter tube for the traction bar.
That’s is a quantity discount mood killer.

Nice push.... That's some pretty fancy woodwork, too. lol![]()

Your girls are awesome contestants. Hate to see one of them find the bar with their head.Ran in to a couple of bumps today -
1) for adequate headroom, the front seats will have to be bolted flush to the floor. Disappointing but livable. Makes me feel short like an 8 yr old driving my dads truck.
2) rear seat headroom, not sure what to do yet. The Yukon seats seem to sit high and still need mounting brackets built which will lift them another 1.5".
My daughter on the passenger side is about 5'9", it's are to tell in the pic but if I run the typical bent brace from center B to the outer corners it'll be maybe 2" above her head.
