Well, I spent the weekend sandblasting and painting the H1's. I have to say that CARC junk is some tough sheet! The diy sand blaster I was using didn't do much to it at all, mostly just roughed up the surface and knocked off the loose pieces. I painted the wheels black & gray with Rustoleum Hammered. Some of the wheels hold air and some don't so I couldn't bolt the set on yet, I'm going to break a couple back down next weekend and try some sealer on the o-rings.

For the sake of pic whoring...

I also finished up the 205 and Doubler. I would have finished the 4spd but pulling the shifter cover off of the donor trans kicked my arse, couldn't get it off to save my life. :doah: :o

A HUGE THANKS to TARussell for helping put these together!!!

What are the on truck measurements for that tire? That is the exact combo I intend to run. I think the proportions look spot on.

Dik

Sandawgk5, I'll get some good measurements next weekend when I can get all 4 on the truck.

Fwiw, I did some weighing and measuring -

Empty tire weight = 122 lbs
Empty tire height = 41.5"
Tire + H1 + cut down mag runflat = 175 lbs
Mounted height w/ approx 20 psi = 42.5"

Noice the tire height was what I was concerned aboot due to the history of Swampers being shorter than advertised (atleast in the larger sizes). They are some heavy mofos though.

didn't notice if you said you narrowed the mag runflats any???

No the runflats are stock width, I only cut down the center rib. I had no problem at all putting the wheels together. For that matter, I put my 47's together with no problems even though lots of folks on Pirate said it couldn't be done. :dunno:

hmm, I am still in the middle of cutting the runflat part off my mag inserts and been researching about narrowing the inserts or not.

:D Any chance those pink flowers would fit on your H1s? :D

I'm sure you posted it somewhere in the previous 200 posts, but how far forward is your front axle?

My kids think it's cool that their bikes fit under the Blazer. :D

BGKYK5, the front axle is 2" forward.
