Finished it up a couple weeks ago. Going to paint the front door jambs and build a box to raise the console up before I put the front flooring down.

91 rear interior panel build

This post motivated me to finish the one I started a while back
I found a guy to do my upholstery. He redid my dash and started bringing in more pieces.
He did the door insert and rear panels.
Will add some type of grill to cover up the whole. Wanted to vent the amp.
Let me know what you guys think.
Also don’t know what type of screws to use to secure the rear panels.
And ideas?

Nice job, I used these screws since my rear panels were 1/4 thick wood and wanted a longer screw.
Finished the front flooring today. The poly vinyl was kinda tough to manipulate and I used a heat gun a few times to make is easier to form. I should have cut small squares around the seat holes, seat belt holes and console holes starting with the sound deadening, the heat shield . It would have made it easier once I punched through the poly vinyl. Although I punched and hole through each piece to the next. The heat shield is miserable to get through and forget about using a drill bit,just winds the material all up into a mess. Live and learn.
My homemade wood console wrappedwith the same vinyl I used for the rear panels. I did not drill or cut up the original console. It just sits in the wood box snug. Also you could pull it out and use the space below for additional hidden storage. It the perfect height for me as an arm rest and I had materials already.
Last thing for the interior is to trim the dash to make the gauge bezel fit better and a good cleaning.
Happy with the progress for 2026, next year some bodywork small dents and dings, clean up and paint the engine bay, paint under the hood. 2028 i think im going to buy one of those $500 paint booths and paint it myself.
