I spent the last weekend trying to get rid of the death wobble that has started recently. The week before I replaced all the ends on the draglink and tierod. I measured the old tire rod and made it the same length... it made everything worse lol.
Next it still wobbled just not as bad as before. I could get a very small amount of play, prying down on the passenger knuckle with the tire on.
I replaced the bushing and spring with new parts.
She drives so much better now, tracks straight, doesnt get as squirrely at speed. I just need to get the wheel aligned and I'll be happy with it.
I'm going to try and actually keep track of milage on the trip back to Mississippi.
I'm still tensing up at bridges and expansion joints, but no coffee was spilled going to work today lol
Since we bought the truck I have been missing the tailgate cable on the pass side, we just didn't put much weight on it to avoid tweaking the tailgate.
I got a cable from the parts store, modified the length, then the stock nut broke loose, so i made a new one, and a new bolt. So nice to not worry lol.
I also welded on the stud for the drivers side rear shock, and put a new airfilter on.
