96 ford ranger (I know boo hiss) questions

I think the rangers are decent little trucks. had one with the 4 cylinder nad 5 speed at work when I was in high school, I think it wasa 96, great for what it was used for. only 2 wd though.
Im over the whole ford Vs chevy thing too. I have my 89 f-150 and for as neglected as the thing, is its a great truck, with OK power and has been pretty reliable. Next step is rebuilding the 302, couple steps hotter than stock with the GT40P heads, headers, cam, etc...

Its not so much a ford vs chevy thing as it is a "I can sell this for a profit and dump that money into one of my other vehicles" thing.
Well maybe half and half I just dont see the point in spending much money on this truck when I know that 1 I dont like fords and 2 I have other trucks Id rather put money into. I have owned a lot of fords some good some bad others just a scab on the world. And honestly I do like some fords like the mid to late 70's trucks first gen broncos and pretty much anything older than 1950. But this ranger in my eyes is just a disposable vehicle that will only be worth less as time goes on, no matter how much money you dump into it.
Not that I expect to strike it rich selling this truck I already know that tip top prime condition its only worth maybe $2500-$3000. Most likely consiterably less.
I am even consitering buying some 15" rims for my yukon and putting the new tires on it instead.
