I have a 96 K2500 with a 6.5TD. The motor and tranny are both toast so I was considering swapping in a gas motor, manual tranny and doing a sas conversion. By eliminating the computer what problems will I run into when it comes to the gauges, heater controls, lights etc. Can I eliminate the computer all together and just put in a computer and harness for the new engine? I have to swap the instrument cluster for a gasser cluster, but does the cluster have anything to do with the gauges? Any info on the swap would be helpful. I have multiple motor choices in my shop at the moment such as 383 stroker, TBI injection using 454 throttle body, chipped and is a comp and harness for a manual tranny.

Im going with the ORU SAS kit unless theres a better alternative out there.
