Kid at school wants to run 33x13.50 LTBs on his 97 Tahoe. What would he have to do? I'm a little rusty with my knowledge of these. I know the 2" lifts suck as does cranking the T Bars. Don't want to recommend a body lift but I may just tell him to get a 2". Does ORD sell a 1" for these rigs? That could workout for him.

I ran 33 x 12.50 on stock rims with no lift at all. It would rub on the fwd part of the LCA at full lock but never hurt anything.

I would have him trim the fenders if he does not want to lift it. I used the sawzall on my 98 and ran 35 x 12.50 X-Terrains on 15x10 rims with 3 5/8 BS. Just had to add a small BL to stop the rubbing.

I had a set of BFG 285/75R16's on my '99 with no lift and stock wheels. A little rub, but nothing that a little trimming wouldn't have cured. I just didn't worry about the rub at the time as the truck was my DD and the rub was only occaisional.

I run 285/75/16 BFGs on the stock wheels on my 98 Z71. We cranked the t-bars just enough to level the front end up better and no rubbing unless you get real crossed up....

Yea, I've got 285/75/16 BFGs on my Yukon, and with the torsion bars cranked about 1/2", it only rubs at full stuff. The tires rub on the lower control arms at full lock though. This is with stock wheels.

I ran 3" body lifts on my Z71 trucks and didn't have any problem on scrubbing with 33", wanted go any bigger than 33's on 3". 33's or 305's will rub some but with a little :hack: they will fit
