98 k2500. SAS'd and bobbed.

Nice truck. I'm not a 2nd gen fan or Doge fan but at least it's silver with a 6 speed.

I'm not a dodge fan really. But you have to get a dodge to get a Cummins. I'm not a V8 diesel fan. Not enough room in the engine bay to easily work on them. 2 extra injectors etc. And I have no interest in buying an auto. Manual Dodges are a lot more common

I'm actually surprised how much I like the 2nd gen. In my mind I was thinking it was going to be small inside since the truck looks so small compared to more modern trucks. It's actually pretty nice and damn solid.

Man that Dodge looks clean!

We were looking for a manual second gen for my daughter but around here they are all clapped or way over priced. We found a auto 01 that’s only half clapped for a reasonable price. We like it so far.

Can’t wait to see what you do with yours. I like the ideas and work you do! :waytogo:

Is that a Edge comp in there?

Yeah the bodies and interiors are just crappy on the second gens. I have my F350 with a 1990 cummins and a ford 5 speed. I'm a powerstroke fan cuz I know them real well. My next truck will be a superduty either cummins or powerstroke. Manual is definitely the way to go on a diesel.

Yeah it has a comp box and s&b intake. I got a s&b intake horn with it too. I don't have any hardcore mods planned. This is to be my DD and tow rig. All my motorcycles are getting sold. The truck got sold. The Jeep will be the only thing left. So maybe I'll convince myself to finish that.

The plans I have for it. 3rd gen brakes on the front axle. 4th gen steering. Either put a muffler in this 5" exhaust or go down to a 4" with a muffler. New speakers and head unit. Fix the dash cracks. And fix whatever is leaking on the engine I think the tappet cover is starting to go and the breather bottle is full but I need to clean everything and look for the leak.

Sweet! Sounds like a solid truck except the typical broken Dodge dash. Why would you ever make a plastic dash that supported everything!

My Silverado was supposed to just be a driver too... But right now it's undriveable because all the lenses for the headlights and brake lights are at a friend's getting polished to look like new, I replaced the brake booster today, and all the molding and badges have been taken off, but I haven't got the tape off the paint yet. Also the grille is in pieces and sitting in the bed.

It's a disease I tell ya.

With each one of these trucks, the day I bought them I told my wife, "I'm just gonna make it run good and drive it...no real plans to build them anymore"....see how that worked out for me :rotfl:

You know...looking at that I have no idea why my wife puts up with me

No 53 Block here.

Managed to get some things knocked out. New seat foam in the driver seat, gauges installed, 3rd gen wheels with 285/75R17 toyo ATs, and S&B intake horn since it came with the truck. I'm still waiting on the 4 inch exhaust to come since summit sent me the wrong item last week. I have narrowed down the oil leak to front crank seal or timing cover. Which is nice because I need to open that up to take care of the killer dowel pin anyway.

The only other things I think I will do to this thing are 4th gen steering, 3rd gen brakes, and lift pump. oh and a LMC dash replacement.
