Ok I'm swapping a 5.3 into my 91 k5. I have the complete 99 donor truck and would like to be able to run the 4l60e from it being computer controlled and all. If it's a big pricey adapter I'm just gonna run the trans I have and wait for extra cash to show up before I do that but if it's possible to bolt it right up ill do that. Does anyone know if a 91 np241c will bolt up to a 99 4l60e

is it a 2wd 4l60e? if so the tail shaft is much longer and will require replacement or a custom adapter. i'm pairing up a 2wd 4l80e and an np241 with an adapter from trail-tech fabrication over on pirate4x4.

if it's a 4wd trans then there's probably a much cheaper more commonly available adapter out there. something like that could be sourced at a junkyard for next to nothing.

Ok that's what I wanted to hear, yea it is a 4x4 99. You wouldn't by any chance know what adapter I need would you lol

You need the adapter with a 6 bolt pattern on the trans end, standard 6 bolt round on the transfer case side. Pretty much every 4x4 built with a 4L60E from 1998 to present used this adapter so it should be easy to find. If you want to go the dealer route it is around $100 if I recall. If you can't locate one let me know:waytogo:

Oops, that is a six bolt on the trans side, sorry for the mis-type on that. The casting number I pulled off one of my adapters is 15726252
