Well done Mike! Now you'll be ruined and never be able to buy a cheap toolbox ever again:) everyone raves about snappy's but I've always liked Matco boxes.
 
Spent some time last night, filling the box up. It actually gave me a chance to look at a lot of my tools in one place. :o It's nice to go through a drawer and find something. Also, now I can look at getting some better tools and filling it up properly.

I did come home to these tonight. :smile1: Pretty excited to finally start to mock up the front end. First, I need to see where something is off on the front end area. I can't find it with a tape or level, but I know it's there somewhere. I can see something with my eyes that just doesn't look right yet.

New Bilstein 7100 Series Reservoir Shocks :pimp:

Fancy stuff that is taking forever to put together..:doah: A lot of the days, I wish that I would have just taken your route and I'd be driving this thing already. At present pace, she should be rolling off the show room floor about the same time that your household items are being shipped back to the states again. :whistle:

I was gone last weekend.....so.... Happy B-day, Dude. :woot: Sure wish you were back in the states... I some times wake up in the morning wanting to text and wake someone up....and there is nobody around anymore. :whistle:

Thanks, Heath.. lol..maybe a little over kill with the stock 1st gen springs, but Stephen thinks that they will work out pretty nice for me. :thumb:
 
I don't think you can go overkill on shocks, I say get the best shocks in your budget. They look good to me, remote reservoirs are a big plus to seperate the nitrogen and oil.

Eh, you'll be happy you did it all right the first time:waytogo: I have big plans for mine (again) once I'm back in the states, so it'll get torn down again:doah:

You up to getting your arse kicked again in another international beer drinking challenge this weekend? Sat. night maybe. I need to wake up early and write estimates Sat. morning to catch up, but after that, it's all about the beer fridge. :woot:

We're headed up to Cologne in the morning, but we'll probably be back by 6 or 7 our time. At that point, I have no plans :D Looks like I need to pick up another case:pimp:
 
Man, I got my butt kicked, this round.:tongue1: Ended up writing estimates till about 5:00 last night. It sucked. :doah: Finished the night off with some pizza and SOA.

Tell ya the truth, I could spend the entire day writing up estimates again, but I don't think I'm gunna. :haha:

Time to get the front axle hangin' and figure out the front shocks. Did some reading last night and I don't think that I'm going to run the zero rates for now. The only reason I was going to, was to move the axle forward, to hopefully fit some 39 IROKS. I would just like to keep the rig as low to the ground, so to speak. :whistle:

We'll see how it works out.

Got a couple of hours on Sunday to install the new FUSH's that I built and get the axle back under the rig. I did end up installing some zero rates just to see how far the axle would move forward and how it looked.

Pretty happy with the header clearance now. I need to get a couple shorter greaseable bolts for the bottom, but it's all really just in there for mock up still.

I did run into another 1st gen problem though. I take it that the ORD steering box weld in plate is only for 73+. It just doesn't look like it's going to work out in there. Anybody else run into this on the 1st gen?
