Mike, your doing killer work man!
Nicely done!
Thanks Dave.

It seems like it's taking forever though..
Use the screw pin ones Mike, when you are out on the trail someone will need a shackle, always. Just makes it easier.
I think the ones you posted are called safety pin
Those were the ones that I was looking at first off. They say not very good for vibration though. I didn't want to lose anything on the trail. That's when I seen the ones with the nut and pin. I was thinking of just using a cotter pin through it. Should be very easy to come off that way and should stay on while driving around.
Probably ended up with the last bit of progress for awhile. Traveling B-Ball starts up this week and it looks like at least the next two weekends will be tournaments.
Ended up getting the recov points mocked up for the time being. I think that I'll need to trim the bottom of them a little so they will fit in the bumper just right. What do you guys think, 1/4" worth of gap in the bumper around these?
Couple of pics through the weekend.
Drivers side in.
On drivers side you can see that I brought out the inside plate too. Still need to do this on the pass side.
I might even add some too the frame. That would not be welded to the rest if it though. I guess it all depends on what shackles/clevis I buy and how thick the opening is.
and what they look like on the inside so far.
Nice tight fit.
and a cool shot of the pup. Here is Midas at ten weeks old. He wants this done so he can go for a ride.
A little side project for my son on Sunday. Was fun to have him out there in the garage.
