I don't know what it would take to tear that front end goodness apart, dam its beefy!
Diggin' it Mike!

Awesome work as always. I can't wait until I can take some time and fix/upgrade some of the stuff I had to rush through on mine. The attention to detail that guys like you, Greg and Paul have impresses the hell out of me.:waytogo:

Nice work. :waytogo:

It reminds me of a Mantaray

With me cutting it like that it should weigh a lot less. Therefore, I should be able to get higher wheelies. :pimp:

awesome work as always man! love it.

Thanks Brother. Lots of little parts and head scratching went into this. Glad that it appears to be on the path of a finished product. :waytogo:

I, like you, can't wait to see your thread jump back up to the top with a little grinder action going on. :thumb:

A box should be showing up soon to your door step. Maybe it will keep the chill off of the current chrome dome that you have kickin'. :D

Looking forward to the wheelies:saweet:

II really appreciate you getting that stuff for me. Let me know what I owe you and I'll get you some PayPal action :waytogo:

I really like the hidden winch setup you are creating.

Thank ya, Sir. :waytogo: Always good to have you check it out. You can generally see if there is going to be some kind of trouble down the road with the fabbing . :thumb:

You and me both, Bud. :pimp: Hopefully I can ship your stuff today. Got it all packaged up yesterday and it's sitting next to my desk.

A weekend of progress, but nothing really to show for it. Yep, that is what this weekend was all about. Pretty happy actually with the outcome.

Saturday I helped a friend slam together a quick wheel chair ramp for his MIL. It was kinda nice to have the bags on again cutting some wood. I almost forgot how much cleaner it is butchering some lumber up vs. a piece of flat stock.

Being that I'm leaving again this week to head back to NY. to finish up some of the construction loose ends, I wanted to come home to a clean shop. I picked up an upper cab this week from one of our jobs. It had some water damage to it, so it was heading to the dump anyways. Figured it would be great for the garage.

I've needed something to store all of the new parts that I've been buying. In the past, they just end up on the workbench and within two hours of garage work they looked like they were 20 years old.

After hanging the upper, it was all about getting 50# of dust out of the garage and do a little cleaning. I even threw down some horse stable mats on the floor in the general work area. Those sure are nice to stand on in front of the workbench.. :waytogo:

So really, not much progress, but there was progress. :waytogo:

About the only thing that actually happened on the rig is I marked a couple of lines on the winch plate where it will get cut up later. Or at least close to where it will get cut up.

Man, it sure will be nice when I come home from this trip to work in the garage again and it's "somewhat" clean. :saweet:

Looks good Mike!

It will definitely be a good feeling to start your next shop day with a clean work area. Nothing like being able to find all the tools, and having lots of counterspace available once the project begins.

My shop has been slowly slipping backwards into sloppiness, and the steps into the attic area are so loaded with parts that I can't actually get to the upstairs anymore. For some reason though, I just don't want to invest the time to get everything clean as it should be. I suppose when the weather gets just a bit nicer I will open up all of the windows and do a top-to-bottom cleaning with my favorite cleaning tool (BluePoint air nozzle) and get the layers of crud blown off all the shelves, light fixtures, etc.

I hear you on not wanting to take the time on getting everything put somewhere. Garage time is all about fabbing, not cleaning. It sucks to give up the time just for that. But, it really was starting to get insane. After working on the front end for so long, the place was just a mess. The grinder dust was everywhere.

Instead of the Bluepoint air nozzle, I went crazy with my new backpack blower. This thing is awesome. Within two seconds of blowing the rafters and such, visibility was at a nill. :doah:

EBZ8500 produces a maximum air speed of 206 MPH with tube air flow approaching 908 CFM. Now that's the way to get some stuff out of the garage. :haha:

Next up, I really need to get a bolt organizer like you have. The one pic of the bolts in the center tub, is all brand new grade 8. Prolly a good 70# or so.

On that pic of the front of your blazer,is that a factory lower alternator bracket? Also that is Vbelt yes.?

Get the bins and I'll email you my Excel spreadsheet so you can print out (and laminate) labels for each bin and it's contents like I did for mine. You know I'm not joking....so I won't even bother to put the smiley face on this one.

everyone needs an anal retentive friend to do that kind of stuff so that the rest of us can benefit. :D :thumb:

Yep, as far as I know Dean. I originally bought a serp system and installed it. By general consensus, It looked like ass on the rig. That set up ended up in Eric's garage for his tow rig. This set up is a pick and pull special. Hopefully I have everything for it, to tell you the truth.

I so believe you, it's not even funny.

Benefit, I will. Just like the rest of this project. Couldn't have done it without all of you guys. :waytogo:

I was pretty certain I had the stoutest tow points of any rig here till now...

beef.....

Dam Greg I thought I was doing good having stuff on shelves and in labeled boxes?
Mike I like a clean shop as well and a couple times a week I'll use a vaccum to clean up, that way the dust is in the shopvac not in the air!
Can never have enuff cabinet and shelf space

Always a good day in my book when you get the Ryoken seal of approval.

Are you going to be around on Saturday? If so, I'm going to try and head down for a bit to check out the dungeon. :waytogo:

I'd like to do that, it would just take me a ton of time though. My garage is just so packed with crap that I could barely get a nozzle in most places. :doah:

Cleanliness, mmmmmmmmmmmm, something I will be working on this Saturday supposed to hit mid 50s so doors open cleaning time.

Got some sliders to build on a cherokee. Gotta start the cage on my buddys bronco 2 very soon too.

Mike I am digging the winch mount with the bumper and all, not sure I would like it over all but seeing the bumper mounted up and stuff its gonna be cool

That's pretty cool, Eric. I know that you weren't a huge fan of what I had going on at the begging. Glad that I passed the "Heavy Hitter" test.. :haha:

Hopefully when I get home next week from NY, I can get back into the garage (Mmmm, Clean garage :woot:) and finish that portion up. This shouldn't be a total wasted trip as far as chebby's go though. Hopefully head on down and check out a super K5 and some kind of Mutt at Paul's house tomorrow. :thumb:

If that doesn't kick me in the pants to keep going on the rig, I don't know what will. :D
