I was actually going to keep it a big secret, but I guess the cat is out of the bag.

I wasn't worried about the steering box, because I have something else up my sleeve.

If you're old enough, you may remember the original green machines and the awesome steering. I kinda have that in mind.



The way that I see it. I could make a big plate just behind the winch and before the oil pan. This plate made out of 1/4" plate would be attached to the frame rails. From there I could use some parts from a skid steer or backhoe to lock this all in place. Some of you might have seen these parts holding the buckets on the machinery. As it will be tough to know exactly where the steering axle is pointed, at least for guest drivers, I was thinking of setting this all up with a gauge on the dash.
Oh, I've been thinking of calling this base plate "The Mongoloid."
