Looking good dude! I agree with Paul, git'r dun:waytogo:

Are any of those ww2 trucks for sale? Any that wouldn't be too terrible of a project? Got a bunch of cool stuff out there.

Dude, I could have spent a lot more time there too. He has a helicopter (think MASH) and two old war type planes in the garage. :bow:

I'm with you on those body mounts. Some more suck... and we should be on to a lot more fun things. :thumb:

If they call you about your check, tell them to fix the tips on the cans. 1 out of six seems that I need to find another one that will work. For how much we pay for that stuff, it should spray by itself while we sit watching with a cold one in hand. Lol

true that Paul...I've been having a bunch of ****ty nozzles on some cans lately though...need to keep bathing them in thinner to keep em working between uses...yes I turn the can upside down and blow it out too.

Mike what an exceptional graveyard! And a DUKW to boot. Wow my old man would love it!
 
I rarely have an issue with Moeller tips, once in a blue moon.. ya do always have to make sure to shake the he!! out of the cans tho..
 
Stay away from those portal axle donors!!!

The build will never get finished. Trust me. :)

That must be the problem, because right out of the box they don't work sometimes. See, I start shaking, then my tricep starts floppin, titties start bouncing all while my chins be vibrating, I get tired too fast. Maybe, if I just kick it down and around the driveway for a couple laps, she'll spray all nice like? :D

That, and the fact you're the only one that can spend 20k+ on axles around these parts.

I'll actually cheat sometimes if I'm gonna be doing a fair amount and put em in the paint shaker at the marina.... :haha:
 
Man this thread is starting to sound like you guys hang out here.

Small tip for next time, put one can under each tittie and go jump on a trampoline for a while. Twice the work for half the time and frees up your hand for a beer. Just make sure to throw a nipple on your beer though or it gets all over as you bounce.:whistle::haha:

No trampoline, so I tried it on a contractor bag of empty beer cans. Didn't work out so well. :D


Well, I have good news and bad news.

The Bad: this is about body mounts :rolleyes:

The Good: I'm calling 6 out of the 8 of these type.....done. :woot: One more for the #4 position (plates are cut and installed) as the last, #5, will be off of the C tube from cage to frame.

So on with the pics.

#3's





Once that was done, I mounted what I had, in order to actually start the build of #4. I wanted to make sure that everything was level and the body was good to go on the frame.

My Stablia plate level made short work of making sure the axles were still level with each other.



And a plumb bob off the body, measured to the frame. A lot easier here,as the back is a pain to find something to measure off of.




Once I knew all was good, I mounted all six and drilled the mounting holes.



And cleaned up enough to where I'm calling it on these. :waytogo:










On to the last two. :saweet:
