So a trailer tow hitch is needed.
Under the bumper like a normal rig that will drag on stuff but probably give better handling of the trailer???? Possibly?
The hitch mounted behind the bumper with some kind of flip up licence plate, or removable lic. plate??
With maybe something like this.

Also, does anybody actually know about the laws on brake lights. I'm kind of holding back on welding in the tire carrier spindle as it will hide the bottom portion of the pass side brake light. I'm pretty sure that I may need an inspection at some point to get this back on the road and I hate to cut that thing off, as It's going to be a huge pain to install inside of the hidden tube bumper in the first place. I have heard that as long as 50% of the light is still showing, it's still good to go, but I really don't know.
Thanks-

I think if you slap a "Baby on Board" sign on the back your good to go!Also, does anybody actually know about the laws on brake lights.

Yeah, On our rigs, at least with the stock bumpers there's only one place to put it and that is guaranteed covering at least the bottom third, to half of the light itself. Unless I can find something definitive on that, I'll probably not even worry about the tire carrier and spindle now. It's always something I can do after I get it tagged again.
I would like to at least fab up and weld in for the tow hitch now. I always have trailers of some sort behind my rigs. Where do you have your's mounted Brian? Under the bumper, or through? The through would be hidden with the removable tow hitch and the plate would cover the hole.

FWIW the dmv will reduce those fines if you ask.
