Besides Drinkin'? :pimp:

Yeah, me too. I think that I finally passed my slow point and know where all of the interior weld nuts will be. Once I get all of those in, I can close those box's up. Then I can make a plate for the top that will bolt into those gussets and weld the front of the cage down.

So want to move onto something else besides the front of this thing. There really is no where to set my beer down up in the front. :haha:

Why are you wasting your time with all that cool fab work and not building Neer holders!!?? :D

Awesome work as usual Mike! :waytogo:

yay! grind, rinse, repeat!!! :pimp:

You know the drill...It all isn't super fun, but you need to chug through..

Yep, that is what I should have started with up front. :doah:

A little pre Easter progress. I think that I may just get something done this weekend.

Installed all of the weld nuts on the interior of the gussets and finally hit them with the welder. Went to far on one of them and did a weld on the top. :doah: I'll need to cut that off when I fab up the plate system.

Pics from yesterday..

Hopefully get the cage mounted today.. :thumb:

On a side note...Looks like my freespool is coming through the front somehow.. :dunno:

LOL, that's pretty funny.. :pimp1:

I'll need to weight all of the pieces when I'm done to see if it's a half rack or a double order of the full's. :wink1:

Nice wrap up Mike, how'd the cage work go today?

Not to put the pressure on, but you know it will be a motivator!

Welds are looking' good my brother! :waytogo:

....and anyone posting up TommyBoy clips is A-OK in my book. One of my favorite movies of all time. Get me drunk enough and I'll recite the entire thing start-to-finish! :D

Yeah, yeah.... Big progress for eating a mouse, just another bite in the elephant as far as the big picture. Great feeling though:pimp:

Looks like someone had a very productive weekend!!!

Nice work!:waytogo:
The steady progress is nice to see:D

Thanks brother. It may seem like not a lot happened, but it was some good progress. :waytogo:

Hopefully I can get a little more done this week after work. Next weekend is a BBall tourney in Sac. Just so happens that Eric is going to be down there too. The Ultra4 NorCal stampede race is the same weekend that he will be pitting for. Finally get to meet another CK5'er. :saweet:

Sometimes small steps require the most brain effort.

Even the little things are important accomplishments!:waytogo:

I also knew to expect some digs from members, for my error in judgement on the weekend.

I deserve every bit....:D

Sweet cage.

Several cages for 1st Gens seem to have this trait in common, why are the rear bars located so far away from the end of the bed? Is this to allow for the contour of the rear hatch? What am I missing?

Rear post location..??

Looks like they were trying to have a large square base plate but keep the tube in the center of it.

It is tucked into the corner fairly well.

Had the same thing with the rear cage in the Wife's truck last weekend.
