So, been awhile since I drove the beast. Its pretty warm now and went to put on the A/C and just got hot air, compressor wasnt coming on, RPMs werent dropping like normal. So, it was either fuse, relay, pressure switch or out of refridgerant.
Stopped by a buddies house, we jumped the low pressure switch on the dryer and sure enough compressor kicked on. I replaced the low pressure switch and it didnt fix it. started to dump some refridgerant in and it took two 12oz cans to get it to cycle properly and blow kinda cold. One of the cans was with a UV dye. now I gotta hope the shop has blacklight. lol.
I didnt see anything visible, no oil or anything coming out of compressor or any connections.
Is there any typical failure point on these A/C systems or is it a crap shoot?
