I've got my front end rebuild done , new wheels, and 285/75/16's At's on . I'm ready to replace the well worn suspension now. I was going to do the shackle flip but think new springs would be faster and easier for about the same coin. 1988 k5 1/2 ton 52'' rear springs right? Next question body bushings and a 1'' lift? my body bushings are old, stock, and wore out . I'm thinking while I got my jack and jackstands out might as well replace them and while I'm in there might as well do the 1'' aluminum spacers. Will 1'' body lift cause any extra work lines wires shifter linkage or is it just a true bolt in? Another little update on the mpg with 285's 3.73's hwy 70-75mph traffic 15.8 Mpg vs the 31x10.50's were 17.3 mpg . I have been driving it 250 miles a day for the last week doing a shake down on it well pleased with the old trucks progress.

I would do the shackle flip, but it's your call.

As for the 1" body lift, definitely do that. I didn't have to change anything when I installed one on my 1988 V10 Suburban, but it has an SM465. I am not sure if an automatic linkage would need any adjustment. They are cheap, give you a small amount of tire clearance, don't look silly like 2" and 3" ones do, and make it easier to work on stuff underneath the vehicle.

The shackle flip v/s leaf spring on towing and ease of installation pro's and cons? on a 4'' lift?

You're talking about a Blazer, right? How much towing are you going to do with a Blazer?
