A few interesting ebay's... Cummins Blazer, Blazer Chalet, and twin turbo Suburban!

the cummins was already posted, looks kinda like a hack job.....check the seat mounts, front suspension. Cool concept though.

The chalet is beautiful, will go for some decent coin....

yeah, the cummins is a hack. my dream build would be a one ton 1st gen with a duramax. maybe one day...

The Chalet is sweet, the cummins is suspect due to my curiosty on WTF is going on with the front suspension, and the TT burb has me questioning it because of the custom VW in the back of the underside intercooler pic. I know how most VW people think, and I dont trust them with most forced induction projects!

You saw an intercooler in there? I didn't I saw a pretty hacked job of trying to hide the turbo's.

The Chalet makes me want to go spend a fortune and buy it.

Got a '77 Chalet myself, never got around to putting it in the gallery here even though I've been a member for quite a while. Photos at this link if y'all want to see it: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?p=2064561#post2064561

A camper-only - the seller told me the price shown is a typo, it's actually $500:

yea whats up with the suspension on the cummins....I have never seen a chalet before but that is pretty cool and that one is clean as hell. I like the little brochure picture "the blazer you can live" haha. Afraid to ask what kind of mpg those bad boys get on the highway.

Ah, "the Blazer you can live in" b&w version of this color brochure:

On gas mileage, direct quote from the blazerchalet.com web site - "Between a big V8 engine, and an aerodynamic coefficient of a brick, you should expect single-digit mileage. Driving style also affects mileage; above, say, 65MPH, you can watch the gas guage drop. Stick with rolling double nickels (driving 55MPH) and you'll do much better. (The three-speed auto tranny lacks an overdrive, which means that you're spinning pretty fast at highway speeds.)"

Ol' Doug W, aka "K5 NUTT" in this forum, ought to be an authority on that since he was driving between Colorado & Canada in his Chalet up until just recently. He's only just come back from the oil & gas field wilderness - no doubt out drilling for more fuel to power these GM gas hogs.

I saw a Blazer Chalet back in april for sale, it wasnt as nice as this one but if i would of had the cash i would of bought it and used it as a huntin rig, after i put some 35's on it.
I dont know if it would work though it would start to get top heavy wouldnt it?

.... these things are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden - Boise Craigslist:

Here's most of the text, since these links don't last long...

Some of what it needs. Some lower body rust repair and paint, but has new fenders, and most body work already done. Speedometer doesn’t work, Cruise Control not hooked up, A/C needs work, No Camper Battery. For information please call 208-939-0321

I can pick up a Blazer Chalet locally for 2000. It is just like the one listed on Ebay ealiler in this post but not quite as clean. No dents paint ok but needs rubbed out and a good waxing, and the interrior is in good shape but dusty/dirty. It runs good and has a SB400. very light rust on the back of one front fender and back fender.
I have been considering buying it and fixing it up. But i dont know if i need another vehicle. It seems like a good deal but not sure. I could prolly offer 1500 cash and the owner would take it. Not much of a market for Chalets around here so it be hard to resell unless I list on ebay.
