So it moves the outside up, and the rest at an angle? So there would be a big lip so nothing could come out? Wouldn't that interfere with the clutch, brake, and gas pedals. Sorry if the Q's are stupid, im still learning! /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Check out this link, it might help answer a few of those questions...

Not at all. I was thinking of posting it myself, then I scrolled down, and there you've done it for me... /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

BTW, those are not my welds. That's my son's rather messy attempt at "seam sealer" application. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Okay I understand, so the floor where your feet sit on stays normal, then the rest is on an angle. Thats interesting. Thanks for the pic! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Got alittle bit more done today. Spent most of the time trying to get 10 gallons of gas out of the gas tank while it sat on the ground...lol The rest of the time trying to figure out where to put the tank and how to do it. It's gonna end up where it sits in the pictures. The back part of the frame has an appx. 2" drop to it. I'm going to box that all in so there's no drop to it anymore and build a little cradel for it to sit in. Kinda like Estehoe's, but with a removeable box over the top of it, as opposed to welded permenant. I'm also gonna try to make the original filler hole in the fender work too. I don't think that'll be a problem..the hose already lines up pretty good.

Yay! Plop the spare ontop of that tank and you're good to go!

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats pretty much what I had planned. Spare mounted on top of the tank or maybe at an angle or sumthin. I'm also thinkin I'll put a third seat between and behind the two front seats. A three seater...lol

I'm also gonna inboard the shocks..like this- /\ I had to remove the shock mounts on the frame today. I think the truck lost another 50 lbs today. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif I also notched out the crossmember just in front of the stock gas tank location so I could make the tank fit in the new location. That crossmember is gonna end up being removed and relocated forward a bit...Fun stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

thats where were headed when the mogs get here /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif cut on brother /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif

I will have some more pics tommorrow...

I just finished mounting the gas tank and building a "lid" for it. It's pretty trick. Tommorrow I'm going to fab something to make the gas cap/filler neck and fuel lines work. Heh...Last weekend I was working on the gas tank mount while trying to keep the bedsides out of my way. After an hour of that, out came the sawz-all and in a fit of pissed offness, I cut the bedsides off even with the back of the cab. Waaaay easier to work on now. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

ooooo this is going to be good. Im excited /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

95% finished with the lid for the relocated gas tank..
The black box in the last 4 pictures sits on top of the gas tank and bolts to the pieces of angle welded to the frame, which clamps down on the flange on the side of the tank. Works pretty good so far.
I scratched my head for a loong time trying to figure out a way to make the filler neck work. Ended up with a shortened version of the stock set-up welded to the side of the box. Made a opening for access to the stuff at the top of the tank...Gotta love "free" stainless steel allen bolts from work. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif Caged/welded nuts on the inside. The tube on the inside conects to the inlet on the tank with a rubber hose and clamps. Still have to route the over flow, and other fuel lines. Should have it 100% finished and mounted tommorrow. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

BTW....this is the result of my sawz-all rampage. Not quite even with the back of the cab, but I was looking at it today, and I think I'll cut it off there anyways.
