I want it but not the price, nor the spare tire on the front bumper. The colors are ugly, too, but I love everything else about the truck. But not the price. Oh wait! I already said that.

I don't remember who made them, but a couple of my dads friends had them. Bought when they put campers on and some masive hitch under the back. The campers were the extended, 10+ feet long. The hitch was designed to take the extra leverage of the extended hitch.

That was fairly common up until the mid 80's, the front spare carrier. Lots of places made the kits too, but it was a factory option, I see it in my '73 parts book "carrier, spare wheel (frt mnt)" and "bar, carrier spare frt mnt (2 req)"

Although the one in that pic is for sure aftermarket, that thing is really cantilevered out there....
