Hmmm sounds like a good option then... I had thought about getting some parts coated but wasn't sure how they'd hold up to the sand.
I have been sold on powder coating for years now. Sure there are pros and cons to anything, like if you have to weld repair a powder coated piece. But I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Deep scratches cant be touched up per say. But, Powder coating for a base coat is awesome. You can powder coat stuff then scuff it with Scotch Brite lightly then paint it whatever you want then IF or when you get a deep scratch you can touch it up. The rest of the part will be much better protected then just paint. I just dig the stuff myself.
