Hey! When did you get into MY garage and take pictures of MY truck??!

Your core support looks a lot like mine. Mine's as bad as yours on the pass. side, but my drivers side isn't quite as bad. PO had a battery go bad and leak acid all over the place /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif, so now I've got to replace the core support and the right front quarter. Battery acid does a nice job of rust-welding things together, too... /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

this is why i never try to fix up anything thats orignally from around here, IMHO its a waste of time and money, i figure if some day i want a decent vehicle then ill get one thats either been garage kept from day one for real, or have one imported from down south somewhere from southern MO and NC and so forth and down lower where salt and rust and snow and crap is all way big time less seen, anything that actually has bodxy panels intact at al is something to appreciate and be wow'ed by, anything that runs around here has no rocker panels and wheel arches or much of anything left unless its been lucky enough to have a garaged life by some miracle, you guys down south and such have no idea at all, unless youre from up north somewhere, your holes in rockers and floors is nothing at all, notta. ate up through rockers and floors is considered minor surface rust up here,
the norm is when at least half the rocker panel is totally missing and floors also plus arches and cab mount metal and rad support metal too, and so forth.,

My 74 plow truck is a lot rustier than your pictures!(not bragging!).You want to see rot, come to MA especially in the boston south and metro west areas. You can literally crumble the sheet metal in your hand, its almost like fungus bubbling from the inside out--and my frame is screwdriver pokeable too, beats me why it hangs together with all the weight I've hauled in it.Yesterday I had to make a parts run in it,hasnt been driven in awhile--a guy in the parking lot at the store said"hey, your leaking something"---pointing at the 14bolt SF rear end--with its rusty sieve of a differential cover oozing 90w gear oil all over it! SIGH---time to braze the rotholes~AGAIN! /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gifI hope it isnt empty--it sounded a little weird on the way home!. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif I too hope to leave this salty wasteland behind and move south--I'm more a redneck than a yankee at heart!. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
