The gear was just bouncing off of the ring gear. I was laying under the truck watching it. Would occasionally ting. I have broke frex plates in the past. Sounded just like it.

I sold a truck once because of a cracked flex plate. Thought it was a rod knocking. Whats worse is Id had cracked flex plates before and knew the sound, all I can figure was I was tired of the truck and ready for something different.
Worked out because if I wouldn't have sold it I wouldn't have the truck I have now which is in much better shape but I still regret selling it. Mostly cause I looked like an idiot when I found out it was just a cracked flexplate

I now know the drive shaft joints are good. And I changed the rear output seal on the TC.
