I'm changing everything on my 87 K5 to 134A. Looking at condenser's I see a lot of talk about going with a parallel flow as opposed to the one in it (tube and fin). Can anybody advise me on a part number ?

what year is your truck the amazon linked is for trucks originally equipped with R4 compressor. If the picture is correct this would not work on my 77
OP says 87 and it should be an R4 if Blazer as stated.

What is benefit of the parallel flow? Ill look back in posts to see if i can find out where you are coming from, I will be switching to 134 shortly on my 86. I thought all that was needed was to just change the oriface tube
So what I've been told is everything made now is parallel flow, because of the change in refrigerant. Frank added a link above which is the one I ordered. It fits perfectly. The orifice tube is the blue Ford one, not sure on the part number.

I typed same number in on rockauto and its tube an fin.
Can even tell zooming in on pictures. Im trying to find one that truly is PF. If you already have this in your possession send some pictures should be able to tel by the sides if tube fin or pf.

the amazon link is parallel flow in the pic. It has a common tube down both sides. If it were tube and fin, there would be 2 (connected) tubes wound in an s shaped pattern fitted through the aluminum fins. the gas would enter at 1 end and flow the path though all the bends out the other side.

Yes i see that in the picture.
I thought it was odd if you type same part number elsewhere it pulls up tube and fin in description and picture.
So it makes me wonder if this is a knockoff or what?
I guess i could call UAC and confirm, i just cant find a website. I hate getting stuff thats fake brand you know. So either the amazon seller is crooked, or rockauto is, or uac made both with same part number for some reason.
I just got off the Phone with UAC. The amazon part is not theirs. They have reported to their fraud department.

Have to go to their website, on a conputer, not your phone, cause it doesnt pull the drop down boxes right.
Go to catalog, then select Legacy catalog, and it will show dimensions for condensers and allow you to select the right size.
Im going to go out, measure mine when i get some time. And find the correct one and let yall know if they even have a paralell flow in that size or what.

So im trying to check it out, it is weird their website is showing paralell flow, but he went and pulled the part and said it is tube and fin. I have to call back in an hour hes on lunch break. I cant figure out how to use the catalog like he said

Curious why you want the PF as apossed to older style TF.
While this certainly isn't for everyone, down here in TX we can use all the AC we can get. I buy these universal ones and route new hoses/lines to them. This way you can measure for the biggest you can fit and run it.

The condensers either come painted black or gray/silver. It depends on the current availability.
