Ac door operation and diag

New condenser, drier, orifice tube, and flush solvent. This some boolshit.
Used that rock auto 5% though. Even with tax and shipping its cheaper than my first call oriellys account.
Good call.
No point in wasting money on a gamble like this.

So please I’m asking to double check my work here on the oil and refrigerant levels. I’m second guessing myself before the recharge tomorrow morning. Flushed both evaporators. New expansion valve and orifice tube, and a new condenser and accumulator. This bitch better work.

Oe spec is 4lb 8oz r12 and 9oz oil for the whole front and rear system.

Internet says do 75% ish refrigerant which I wrote down 3.8lb.
I’m doing it again and it’s coming to 3lb 8oz so I’m wondering if I goofed there. Probably not enough difference to make a big deal.
The compressor requires 4.5 oz and the system wants 9oz.
Do I just keep the 9oz total for the few miles of system or adjust there too? I think I put 9 last time.

I put 2-3 oz. in each component. Evap, acc, cond. etc. then the rest in the compressor.
3lb. 8oz. Is 80% of the r12 suggested. Thats what I have in mine I believe. Make sure to crank the compressor by hand 15-30 revoloutions to distribute the oil evenly after its all connected.

That oil fill is for an R4, you are running a Sanden ? what does Sanden say about oil fill?
Yes 2oz in condenser, 2oz in accumulator, 1 oz in evap, and what ever sanden wants in the compressor. Use the oil Sanden spec's

If you haven't recharged yet, and since you're in Texas, have you considered moving away from R134a?

I use it because of my accessibility to it. I personally have a ton of propane but no tools to actually use it.

Alright. I’m done. It was about 48 degrees for the lowest at highway speeds and about 80 outside and super humid. The real test is if it fogs your glasses up when you get out and it did. Check out the condensation on the door switches.
It’s no icebox, but it’s very not bad. I ain’t touching it now. It is what it is.

That high side outlet blockage was definitely an issue.
Not sure how accurate you thermometer is, one test I use is to hold your finger close to center register for a minute or so. Should be cold enough to begin to hurt.

On the highway it was doing that. Noticeable change at idle I’m gonna try a condenser fan and see again if it helps.
