Chevy's in the wild

Thankfully I bought my Monte when they weren't worth anything. Wow. Thirty years ago, for $175. 1981, no SS cars those years. View attachment 531754
My dad bought my mom a brand new ‘78 Monte Carlo and it was a great car - I would piss my brother off because I kept asking him why was mom’s car faster then his ‘77 Camaro ( 2Bbl. 305 with a 2.56 rear gear - it was a pig ! Looked good though ).
Always liked the SS versions - GM did a great job in the styling department with those cars.

I had a 78, I loved it.
It was light and fast.
I had bench in the front and other than the nice space for the chicks to sit next to me, I took 5 guys with me for a total of 6 men on 200 mile trip to Syria and we did it in one hour.
Good thing it was loaded with some weight, at 130mph it was hinting at take-off.
