I noticed I have no air coming out of the furthest right dash vent in my 73. I dropped the glove box and found the duct is missing. Labeled as "40" below.

Curious if maybe someone has found some sort of common substitute rather than paying $30 for a 6" piece of duct.

I used dryer vent tubing when I put mine together.

I used to sell defroster duct hose years ago,it was rather pricey even then though, about $10 a foot and he could only get certain lengths like 3 or 6 foot ..

I'd just hit up a salvage yard, the duct hose is universal and you can probably find one on some vehicle that has the same inside diameter..
Some guys at body shops used pool hose or vacuum cleaner hose instead..

I figured the 3-1/4" diameter might be hard to find a substitute for.

Sweet! I love $0 parts but at least I could pay postage.
