Added a "Mall Crawler" to the stable

I think the Thornturds will be fine for a dry pavement only rig. They are pretty much brand new. I plan on putting a new rim/tire combo on it this spring though (had those plans right away).

Where in INDIANA did you find one that clean? What little old man did you steal it from?

NICE very NICE. One of the cleanest in Indiana is my bet.

I'd ditch the thornbirds when thier worn out, but not before then.

Bruiser

This truck came from Texas a few years ago, so it's not an Indiana truck. A close friend of mine put me in touch with the gentleman who was selling it. Unfortunately he has a terminal illness and had no choice, but to sell it. On one hand I was stoked to be getting my hands on such a clean rig, but the other hand I felt kinda bad. It's a strange feeling and what do you say to a guy in his position? :(

Nice rig, even with the thornturds. They've been grooved though, haven't they?

My burban came up from texas a few years ago, but it's already starting to look like an ohio truck:(

No, I don't think they have been grooved.

This one's gonna stay nice, as I will only drive it in nice weather....pretty much what Artzner does with his.

Welcome to the garage queen club.

Nice looking truck ya got there.

You said dry weather tires...they are...my buddy's were down right scary in the rain.

Let me find a similar vintage in similar shape with the 6.2L and I got a new DD...once we move south.

I'd ditch the rims before the tires. As long as they hold air & have decent tread depth (which they do) run 'em till you want or need something else.

I dont think I have ever seen a K5 in that kind of condition in my life - I am from MN though. Nice!!

omg...thats beautiful, got any under hood shots? or under it?

2nd that for the under the hood.
That blazer is amazing! Too bad you cant take credit for making it that nice tho... :doah:

You know, I've been down that road several times with other projects and I always lost my a$$, when I went to sell em. It actually feels good that I bought something that doesn't need much :woot:

P.S. Who am I kidding, I already have a healthy list of things I would like to do over the next couple of years.
